Richborough Mast

Vigilant Global set to meet with local community groups

Community Groups

We are proud of our strong record of philanthropy and are committed to supporting the communities in which we work, being good neighbours and sharing the benefits of our projects.

Over recent months we have continued to engage with local community groups, including village halls, schools, and charities, to discuss how the proposed mast can support their work. Following initial discussions, we are excited to be meeting in person with these organisations over the coming weeks to finalise how we can best support their community work.

The proposed community benefits package being discussed will include: a substantial annual financial contribution, in the form of a Community Trust Fund, which will provide funds for local projects and will be managed by the community; technical equipment, sponsorship and apprenticeship schemes with local schools; and equipment and technical support for Dover Community Radio.

We are also partnering with local company, Vfast, with the aim of providing free high speed broadband to a number of local community sites for the next 10 years.

The meetings with local community groups will be taking place over the next couple of weeks and Vigilant Global looks forward to meeting with members of the community to discuss their requirements, how the Richborough mast project can support them and to answer any questions they may have about our work.

We hope to make an announcement later this month once we finalised and agreed the full range of benefits to be provided and the local community partners we will be working with.
